How To Be In God's Will

3 principles to know how to be in God's will

#1 Surrender

#2 Scripture

#3 Seek

As we continue to exercise these principles everyday, the Lord can steer & guide our lives.

The bible has several verses around what His will is, as we continue to study, may the Holy Spirit guide you through it all.

2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. (Romans 12:2)

3 For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you should abstain from sexual immorality; 4 that each of you should know how to possess his own vessel in sanctification and honor, (1 Thessalonians 4:3-4)

3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, 4 who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. (1 Timothy 2:3-4)

Now, as we continue to study His word, we learn more about the different wills of God.

Sovereign will - God's in control

Preferred will - God has a preference

Permissible will - God allows (free will)

Personal will - Graced & gifted to do

Now, let's share about each way on how to be in God's will everyday.

#1 Surrender

We must surrender our ways, our plans, our desires, our dreams, & know God's ways are higher & better.

If you truly want the Lord to use you & be part of His plan, it takes the willingness to let go & let God.

8 “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord. 9 “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts. (Isaiah 55:8-9)

#2 Scripture

God's will is found in His word.

The more we learn & study scripture, the better we can discern His plans for our lives & how the Lord operates.

We discover the nature & characteristics of God.

We're called to test everything we hear against the scriptures.

Scriptures along with the Holy Spirit gives us the deeper understanding, wisdom & revelation around His ways.

105 Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path. (Psalm 119:105)

12 For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. (Hebrews 4:12)

#3 Seek

There is something powerful about seeking the Lord every day.

We can seek Him through prayer.

6 But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly. (Matthew 6:6)

Seek God first, in everything you do!

Promise you'll be much more peaceful & joyful.

12 Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. 13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. (Jeremiah 29:12-13)

God bless you.
